Software Tester for web development (Medior/ Senior)

We are looking for a Software Tester to join a collaborative web development team. The role combines predominantly manual testing with test automation and offers the opportunity to contribute ideas for improving quality and testing processes. The team is currently preparing for a system transition and is looking for someone who enjoys working closely with colleagues, taking responsibility, and helping shape future improvements. The position is based in Bratislava with regular visits to Vienna and offers a largely remote working model.

Job description

• Testing functionalities within web applications

• Manual testing (approximately 80%),  also test automation (approximately 20%)

• Working closely with developers, the product owner and other team members in a team of approximately 7 people

• Expanding automated testing where it brings value - the team is currently preparing for a system change planned for the beginning of 2027, with a focus on increasing test automation where appropriate

• Contributing ideas for optimizations - the team is very much open to suggestions and new approaches 😊

• Working in a collaborative environment where team members depend on each other

Requirements

• Experience in software testing (medior or senior level, around 5 years of experience)

• Strong manual testing background

• Experience with test automation

• Knowledge of Microsoft Playwright is preferred; experience with other test automation tools is also welcome

• Basic SQL skills

• Good communication and a proactive approach

• Fluent English (written and spoken)

• German language skills are highly preferred, as the documentation and system content is in German (At least B1+ would help)

• Experience with Jira and Confluence is an advantage

• Location: We are looking for someone who is near Bratislava, you will work from home but there will be regular visits to Vienna, where the team is (typically once per week, occasionally twice)
