Introduction

We're not looking for a rockstar architect or a senior consultant who has seen it all.

We're looking for a smart, curious Data Engineer with solid SQL and Python fundamentals, who enjoys solving real-world problems, learning new things, and building solutions where not every answer already exists.

You'll join a small local data team (2 people in Košice) within a large international organization. Working closely with a Data Analyst, you'll help prepare and structure data for analytics, reporting, and future AI initiatives while collaborating with global data and architecture teams.

This is an on-site role. The upside? You'll work directly in a modern industrial environment and see the real impact of your work — from manufacturing systems and SAP integrations to real-time IoT and sensor data powering day-to-day operations.

What you'll be working on

  • Building and maintaining data pipelines

  • Working with SQL, Python and databases

  • Integrating data from SAP, manufacturing systems, APIs and other business applications

  • Transforming and preparing data for analytics and Power BI reporting

  • Ensuring data quality and consistency across multiple systems

  • Supporting AI and Machine Learning use cases by making data accessible and usable

  • Collaborating with local and global teams on data architecture and data platform initiatives

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role 

  • Good SQL and Python skills

  • Experience working with data pipelines, ETL processes or integrations

  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills

  • Independence, flexibility and ownership mentality

  • Strong communication skills 

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-changing environment

Nice to have:

  • Power BI

  • Snowflake

  • Cloud technologies

  • AI / ML fundamentals

  • API, CDC or streaming technologies

  • Manufacturing, industrial or IoT experience
