Power BI Engineer
Introduction
Our client is building a modern, data-driven environment in a growing manufacturing plant near Košice. This is a hands-on BI role for someone who truly understands Power BI, enjoys working close to the business, and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves.
We are not looking for a perfect checklist match across all technologies. What matters most is strong Power BI reporting and data analysis experience, a pragmatic mindset, and the willingness to learn and grow in a greenfield environment. You will be on-site, close to production, stakeholders, and real data, with the opportunity to influence how reporting and data platforms are shaped from the start.
This is a long-term, perspective position with room to grow technically and strategically as the plant and data landscape evolve.
Job description
Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for manufacturing and business stakeholders
Work closely with on-site teams to understand data needs and translate them into clear, useful insights
Perform data analysis and support decision-making across production, operations, and management
Collaborate on data modeling and data preparation (SQL, basic Python where needed)
Contribute to the development of a modern data platform (cloud, DWH/Lakehouse concepts)
Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability of reports
Actively participate in shaping BI standards and best practices in a greenfield setup
Be present on-site at the automotive plant near Košice, working closely with the client’s teams
Requirements
Cca 5 years BI Engineering experience
Data modelling expertise (Data Vault, Kimball, Data Lakehouse)
ETL/ELT proficiency (Azure Data, AWS GLUE, Airflow, etc.)
Advanced Power BI skills, other reporting tools are a plus
Experience with modern data platforms (Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake)
Strong SQL and Python skills
Cloud platform expertise
DevOps proficiency (Git, Agile, CI/CD)
Fluent in English

Experience with Snowflake and dbt development
dbt/Snowflake certification
