Java Developer

As a Java Developer, you will be involved in projects mainly focused on healthcare. You will create, modify and maintain applications using the Java language and Spring Boot framework.

Job description

Specifically, you will:

• Create and modify Java applications for various healthcare-focused projects
• Use the Spring Boot framework to create applications with high scalability and high availability
• Collaborate with a team of developers, testers, and project managers on the planning, implementation, and maintenance of projects
• Use Agile methodologies to manage projects
• Work with databases and middleware technologies 
• Analyze and troubleshoot application issues

Personality requirements

Qualifications

• Experience with the Java language and Spring Boot framework
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of databases and middleware technologies
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
• Previous experience developing applications for healthcare would be welcome but not necessary

Deep knowledge of:

• Professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle
• Coding standards
• Code reviews
• Source control management
• Unit testing
• Having a good grasp of Java  and Spring Framework 
• Profound knowledge of REST-APIs and the ability to quickly familiarize oneself with data models is a desired asset
• Critical thinker and a problem solver with analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Previous experience with Bitbucket, Jira and Confluence
• Team player, open-minded, and highly engaged and invested
• Developer’s language is English, German is nice to have
• Be ready to work in local scrum team using agile methodologies
